PROTO : TAAZZA

Posted by tggokul on January 21, 2007

Taazza  hopes to add relevant context in the online news space. Integrate traditional news stories/Online media(YouTube,Flickr etc) with social context.

A whole lot of views are available for each of this news. They have a cool tile view. Basically you navigate your mouse through the view and the news pops out. It is something I would like to check out. They provide an integration point with Flickr and other blogs.

Taazza supports micro formats, enabling symantec web. They also have a mobile version of Taazza. I would like to know more about the development environment and the open APIs they hope to provide on top of their platform. You can view the video of their demo below. Their demo video has been loaded as three parts. You can view them below

Hi Gokul, thanks for the writeup. A few comments. Our development environment is based on rails. At the moment microformats are the only interface to our service. APIs will be provided soon. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any requests/comments for the same.

As for IE support, we are working feverishly to support and should have something out soon. As you might already know developing for IE 6.0 is a pain in the behind!

Also shoot an email out to beta@taazza.com if you would like to play with the product, would be happy to sign you up.

    Take Care,
    Arjun

    Hi Arjun,

Thanks for the followup. It is good to hear that providing APIs is in the roadmap. That would help easier development on your platform. And yes, I am interested in playing around with the beta version. I will send you the mail immediately.

Oops, Sorry for that. I have rectified it now. Btw, even though I have posted one clip of yours, that is just a part of it and there is still another clip of yours. Will post that once I edit it.

    Hi Arjun,

I had requested for playing around with your product but got a response for that.
